WORLD BOOK DAY BOOK BISTRO

To celebrate World book Day we transformed our hall into 'The Book Bistro'. The Book Bistro was set up by Mrs Wall to encourage browsing, complete with tasting cards and a service bell to indicate when the tasting had finished. Over 30 minutes the children 'nibbled' between 3- 5 books, whilst listening to some ambient French restaurant music and being served by head Chef Mrs Wall!!!

The children really enjoyed discovering new authors and genres.

We ended the day with an assembly and the winners of the reading raffle received a World Book Day book !

HAPPY WORLD BOOK DAY EVERYONE!! We tried to make the day about the love of books, and enjoyment of reading with some extra special quirks thrown in!
