Family Learning
As a parent, you want your children to do well at school and to succeed. It is often difficult to know where to start, especially as everything appears to have changed since your own school days and you might be worried about confusing your children.
North Yorkshire County Council provides a comprehensive range of family learning programmes across the county, working closely with local schools.
The family learning programmes will give you, as a parent or carer, the opportunity to find out how things are taught in your child’s school, as well as a chance to share ideas with other parents and develop your own skills. There are also opportunities to develop your own English and maths skills to help you support your child.
