Poppys! marking the centenary of the end of the 1st world War
11th November 2018
This week there have been a number of different activities within school to mark the centenary of the end of the 1st World War. This includes some children and families working with Mrs Bullock to make 100 poppies using old plastic bottles and painting them and 'planting' them on our school field. From the youngest children in Nursery to Year 6 everyone has been involved in creating some eye catching displays around school.
As a whole school we took time to learn about Remembrance and remembered those who have died as a result of wars all over the world. We were delighted and very proud with how wonderful our displays looked.
