Bedtime Story Morning

What a lovely morning we had- we have never felt so relaxed at school! We were expecting the children to perhaps loose some interest half way through the morning, but no! They were engaged with the stories and storytelling for the whole session (after the initial excitement of the castle tent!). They loved been under the blankets and using the torches to read. If you haven’t looked yet- please view the photographs on Tapestry.

Text Detective

Next week is our final ‘non Christmas’ week and we will be doing the story Owl Babies. Our Wow Words remain the same: Dark, Hunt, Sound, Quite, Loud and Feeling, supported with Courage, Thoughtful and Frightened.

We would love to make some egg box owls- which we can add to our class tree to transform it for Winter (we use this as a resource to teach about Seasons). We kindly ask for donations of these please.

Pop up Library

Thirsk Library will be in our class next Thursday afternoon from 2.15 pm. Please remember that you can bring your child to this session, even if you don’t do a PM session. Just let a member of the team know, so we know to open the gate to you! Every child is registered and can take books home.

School photographs are next Thursday.

Please can every child have a hat for outdoor play.

We are also missing a pair of Spiderman gloves if anyone has accidentally taken them.

Christmas Craft Morning

We would like to invite you to come and make decorations with your child in the classroom on Friday 29th November. This session will start at 9 am and last until 10. 15 am. We use the decorations you make to decorate the classroom and you get to take them home at the end of term. Please let a member of the team know if you would like to join us.

It’s beginning to feel a little bit like Christmas!
