Christmas around School

We have been busy with plenty of festivities this term and wanted to share some of the great pictures

Our amazing PTA organised an outdoor Christmas Market that was open to the public for the first time. A huge effort, hard work and pure determination meant that this event was a great success for the school. We had some lovely stalls and were supported by many lovely local businesses to which we are very grateful, we even had a bucking bronco reindeer!

We have held a virtual Christmas songs concert for years 1 to 6. Everyone wore their most festive Christmas Jumper and sung their hearts out to be filmed for parents and family to enjoy!

We have watched a virtual Christmas pantomime, with the cries of 'he's behind you' and hissing at the baddie echoing around school.

This week our PTA also organised a Polar Express Movie night after school. Special tickets were handed out and the children were able to wear their pjs whilst drinking hot chocolate and eating cookies!!!!

As well as a wonderful Christmas lunch made by our lovely Kitchen ladies, we have had Christmas parties, Christmas crafts, visits by some naughty elves and finished the festivities off with the Early Years Nativity, which always fills our hearts with joy!!!

Overall we think we have pretty much managed to cram in the celebrations and spread some Christmas cheer!! Thirsk Community Primary School staff and pupils would like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas.
